For over three decades, I've had the privilege of working as a physiotherapist, and for over ten years, as a yoga teacher. During this time, I've had the opportunity to work with international sports teams, headed up a chronic pain department in the NHS, and taught specialized manual therapy skills all around the world.
With my Age Well Programmes, I bring together all of my experience and expertise to provide you with a comprehensive set of skills to help boost your confidence and offer support as you navigate your health and wellness challenges.
The work I do, whether within the context of a workshop, retreat, or yoga programme is designed to be highly personalized and tailored to your specific needs and goals.
Working closely with my clients, I am committed to achieving measurable and achievable results. My programmes include a range of tools and techniques, including yoga, breathwork, meditation, manual therapy, and more.
Whether you're looking to improve your overall health and wellbeing, manage a specific health condition, or simply want to feel more energized and balanced, I'm here to help you achieve your goals.
What it requires from you is commitment.
Commitment on several different levels, some of which you may not have considered.
It may require you to change your beliefs and perspectives on such things as exercise, arthritis and pain.
It may require you to give your ageing a new context and perspective.
It will require you to set aside up to 20 minutes per day for specific exercises.
It will also require you to bring awareness into some of your daily activities, so that you bring what you have learned on the mat in to a lived experience.
You will have various blogs and articles to read to become better informed around health and well-being issues.
I am passionate about supporting people achieve their full potential as they age. The Better Balance Better walking online programme has evolved from working with people in pain who have felt helpless and hopeless moving towards older age. The cycle of pain, de conditioning , decreased activity, decreased function, is so common, but it need not be inevitable. With the tools you learn on this programme you can plan for, manage and navigate the ageing process, with confidence and a greater sense of hope.
